Next Generation 9-1-1 readiness is about more than proving individual systems work. The real challenge is understanding how the complete emergency communications ecosystem performs when systems, networks, applications, and operational teams work together. Independent end-to-end testing provides a way to validate those interactions under realistic conditions.
In a recent engagement with a large municipal PSAP, COMsolve tested scenarios covering call routing, location information, CAD integration, transfers, conferencing, failover, recording, and other critical workflows. The testing identified technical and operational considerations that may not be visible through isolated testing, while also providing a practical foundation for operator training and realistic call-handling exercises. Just as importantly, testing confirmed that critical NG9-1-1 functions performed as expected, providing documented evidence of readiness and a baseline for future regression testing.
We’ve captured the engagement in a new case study. Download the case study below to see what the testing revealed and why validating the complete Next Generation 9-1-1 chain matters.
