Telecommunications Inspector - Fiber Optics - Q/A Auditor
Responsibilities:
Work in an outdoor environment to observe and collect field data that supports the engineering design and construction of fiber optic cable facilities. Perform tasks such as walkouts, inspections, testing, etc. as needed by the company/client
Review and report on engineering specifications and construction crew performance against client specifications using appropriate compliance sheets, tablet apps and GIS applications as needed per client requirements.
Regularly attends formal or informal training to maintain and upgrade knowledge, skill, and performance levels.
Stay current on industry specific engineering and construction methods and procedures and perform research as requested by the company/client.
Submit organized, detailed data and reports that could include paper or digital maps, field notes and digital images.
Operate and maintain tools and equipment that would include tablet computer, digital camera, measuring tools and personal protective equipment.
Work professionally in the field as a representative of COMsolve Inc and our customers.
Communicate effectively daily with the project management team via virtual tool such as Skype or Zoom.
Maintain vehicle in compliance with company fleet.
Maintenance and reporting requirements and as directed by management and/or safety staff.
Adheres strictly to Company safety guidelines and requirements.
Ensures that the highest quality of service is provided to promote superior customer satisfaction.
Other duties as needed and as directed.
Qualifications:
Experience and understanding in Fiber Optic plant construction
Must have excellent customer relation skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Present a professional appearance and attitude and demonstrate high work standards with a quality orientation.
Ability to read, interpret and follow maps.
Must be able to work within a team environment
Ability to problem solve, troubleshoot and demonstrate a sound mechanical aptitude
Analytical ability and interest in learning new technologies
Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Must have ability to use hand and power tools or any task specific tools as needed
Must use ladders as needed
Be willing and able to work in all weather conditions
Must be able to work all shifts, weekends and holidays if necessary
Must have valid driver’s license.

Special Skills:
Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
Ability to learn and use customer specific GIS engineering and Workforce management applications.
Ability to follow process specifications and guidelines in an extremely high-quality environment.
Term: Contract 6 months – 24 months
