Low Voltage Structured Cabling Technician
ROLE
As a Data Technician, you will collaboratively review, understand, analyze (for correctness), and implement installation blueprints and plans from Project Managers and Sales Teams to complete installations.
This role requires the ability and knowhow to properly complete the installation, understand and follow the BOM, and be capable of adjusting or finding alternative solutions as needed to complete installations to client satisfaction.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Install and service cabling infrastructure and devices for Data and Audio Visual and CCTV such as pre-wiring, installation, termination, labeling, testing and reporting per specifications and drawings
Install network racks and cabinets in server rooms
Interact with customers and prospects, ensuring all inquiries are handled professionally
Adhere to COMsolve’s Quality and Safety programs
Complete detailed and accurate documentation, including OHS checks, packing slips, checklists, as-builts, test results
Consistently provide high levels of customer service
Travel and overtime may be requested with this position on an ad hoc basis
Perform additional duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS
Experience pulling, terminating and testing cat5/6 and fiber optic cables
Experience installing other cabling infrastructure (racks, cabinets, etc.)
Experience installing other low voltage systems (CCTV, access control, AV, wireless, unified communication, nurse call, RTLS)
Post-secondary education in electrical, telecommunications, electronics, or equivalent is considered an asset
Flexibility to work in a variety of environments, from construction sites to finished corporate offices
Comfortable working at heights and must be able to lift upwards of 50 pounds
Valid Driver’s License with clean abstract and no restrictions
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with keen attention to detail
Must be bondable and able to pass a background check
Strong problem-solving skills
